Michelle Williams & Seth Rogen: Rickshaw Ride!

Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen take a ride on a rickshaw while shooting a romantic scene for their new indie dramedy, Take This Waltz, on Thursday in Toronto, Canada.

Pic centers on a young woman (Williams) whose struggles with infidelity leads her to the realization that she may be addicted to the honeymoon period of her relationships. Sarah Silverman will play the sister of Seth’s character.

Michael Langille, Owner of Rickshaw Services of Toronto www.rickshawservices.com supplied rickshaws to Sarah Polley on location at Toronto Film Studios [Film Port]. Langille also was hired to train the actors to operate the rickshaws whom were embedded in his company in order to learn what it is really like to be a rickshaw runner. This gave the actors an extra bit of edge in playing the role of rickshaw drivers in the film which was released at the Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto in Sept 2011.

Ontario Power Generation's marketing department set out to get some exercise and conduct a green marketing initiative during the Ajax Santa Clause Parade by driving Branded rickshaws [eco-cabs] in their annual Santa Clause Parade. www.RickshawServices.com provided the crew with Spot Logo design graphics on 2 electric-assisted rickshaws fully decorated with LED Christmas lights and Christmas music.

They passed out 8000 tattoos and thousands of Christmas items to the children and wished an estimated 15,000 onlookers a "Merry Christmas" as they rode by. The crowd was ecstatic at the sight of these new style rickshaws, never seen before in Ajax. More info can be seen by visiting our website.

With two fully branded rickshaws; the staff of the marketing department will pilot the 100% emission free vehicles through the parade by themselves while passing out little goodies to the children. This non-traditional form of "Parade Marketing" was tested by them in 2009 where measurements and feedback suggested they continue with the program. This will be the 3rd annual Parade with the use of rickshaws and eco-cabs as marketing tools.
